One man taken to hospital after severe flat fire

One man has been taken to hospital after firefighters were called to tackle a severe blaze inside a flat.
Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said six fire crews, including ones from Warwickshire, were sent to Oxhill Close, in Redditch, just after 19:00 BST on Thursday and found a "well-developed" fire in a first-floor flat.
One man found outside was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation before being taken to hospital, said West Midlands Ambulance Service.
More than 20 firefighters worked for about 90 minutes to put the blaze out, the fire service said.
