Memorial services and celebrations were held across Oxfordshire on Thursday marking 80 years since VE Day.

Hundreds of people took part in processions, parades, afternoon teas and concerts throughout the day.

A two-minute silence at midday marked the anniversary of the end of the war in Europe and, after dark, beacons were lit across the UK.

In Witney, people danced in the street while in Chipping Norton residents ed in singing at an afternoon tea at the town hall.
