A park in Barton-upon-Humber has reopened following a £120,000 revamp, North Lincolnshire Council said.

The improvements to the park on Dam Road include new play equipment, seating, paths, bins, CCTV and new planting.

The project was organised by The Friends of Barton Parks with funding from a range of grants.

Councillor Paul Vickers, chairman of the group, said "This isn't just a facelift, it is an investment in health, wellbeing and our local environment."

He added: "The Friends of Barton Parks, along with local ers, have created a fantastic space for people of all ages to enjoy."
