West Midlands Police are called by paramedics, who have made a grim discovery. A man who was reported injured has been found dead in a Birmingham house. Although the body was found in the bedroom, there is blood and signs of violence in different parts of the house, leading the police to launch a murder investigation.
The post-mortem results reveal the victim has suffered a brutal attack, with over 100 injuries, and died from trauma to his head. There is no sign of a murder weapon or anyone else at the property, but with a violent killer on the loose, detectives launch urgent door-to-door inquiries.
