Rapidly rising water levels mean Denmark needs to be evacuated soon. For 19-year-old student Laura and her family, the news will change their lives forever.
Sea levels are rising, and Denmark will soon be evacuated, but the public doesn’t know it yet.
Nineteen-year-old Laura lives half the time with her mother, Fanny, and half with her father, Jacob, and his new wife, Amalie. Amalie’s brother Nikolaj works for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is among the first to learn of the evacuation. He cautions his husband, Henrik, and Jacob to sell everything and start planning for a life abroad – in secret. Henrik also feels compelled to warn his estranged brother, Peter, who refuses to listen.
Laura is at school when news of the evacuation breaks. The question on everyone’s mind is: where will they go?
