How to play toy hide and seek
Hide one of their favourite toys around the house and then go looking for it together.
Take their lead - what are they interested in looking at? Is the toy there?
Talk through everywhere your child is looking. As your child is looking, try and name the places they’re looking as they go, for example “Is Mr Teddy under the table?” or “Is the ball under the chair?”
When you find the toy, give them plenty of praise and talk about what it looks and feels like, for example 'Mr Teddy is nice and soft' or 'It's a big ball'.
Keep picking new places to hide the toy - as they get older, maybe your child can have a go at hiding it?
