Brentford boss Thomas Frank, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "We were closer to edging it. It was a bit of a game of two halves. In the first half we were better.

"In the second half I thought Wolves had a few dangerous moments. It was a little bit of a disappointing goal to concede, but that happens. We probably should have made it 2-0 in the first half, but we didn't."

On Bryan Mbeumo: "I think it's fantastic for all three [Yoane Wissa and Kevin Schade too]. It's a big compliment to the three of them, but also to the team. For Bryan to finish on 20 goals is incredible."

On Brentford's season: "To produce two top-half finishes in four seasons is incredible. There's a lot of clubs that I ire that haven't done that in many years. We've done a lot of things well."

On the future of Mbeumo and Wissa: "I've said many times before, we're a selling club. If the right bid comes in, we're open, but of course I'd like to keep [my players]."

Bryan Mbeumo's opener was his 20th goal in the Premier League this season - the second Brentford player to reach that tally in a single campaign (also Ivan Toney in 2022-23) and the first Cameroon international ever to do so.

It was also his ninth opening goal in the league this campaign - the t-most of any player (also Raul Jimenez and Chris Wood).

They may have missed out on European football, but Brentford can still look back on the 2024-25 campaign with enormous pride.

The Bees collected 23 points from their 10 away league matches in 2025, which was comfortably the best record in the division since the turn of the year.

Only Bournemouth's better goal difference denied them ninth place - which would have matched their Premier League record from the 2022-23 campaign - while their tally of 66 goals was their most in a top-flight season since 1937-38.

Fifty of those goals came from Yoane Wissa, Kevin Schade and Bryan Mbeumo, whose first-half finish at Molineux made him only the club's second player after Ivan Toney to reach 20 Premier League goals in a season.

The Bees wasted good first-half chances as Wolves keeper Jose Sa denied Wissa in a one-against-one opportunity, while Keane Lewis-Potter sent a looping effort on to the roof of the net from a similar position.

Christian Norgaard also tested Sa twice in the second half, but Marshall Munetsi's effort denied them a first league double over Wolves since the 2015-16 Championship campaign.

So the curtain has come down on Brentford's season with a draw against Wolves.

It means they finish their season in the top half, but miss out on a spot in Europe.

I am not sure which Wolves we will see here - after going on a six-match winning streak, they have now lost three games in a row - or if their star forward Matheus Cunha will be recalled after starting Tuesday's defeat by Crystal Palace on the bench.

Brentford still have an outside chance of finishing eighth despite losing at home to Fulham last week - I it I did not see that result coming, but I rarely do when Fulham are involved.

Brentford have been great on the road recently and have only lost one away game since Christmas, but I am going to go for a draw here for tactical reasons, because I think everyone else will too.

Here are some of your comments on your selection, plus another name thrown into the ring:

Charlie: My pick would be Nathan Collins. After a shaky first season he has become a rock at the centre of defence. His tackling and blocking are on a par with the departing Ben Mee. He is also showing his leadership skills on and off the pitch, my fear is this might soon get noticed by all of the big six (or is it eight now) clubs.

Ian: Damsgaard over this season has shown the form that he displayed during the Euros. Lewis-Potter adapted to his position at left-back due to long-term injuries to Rico Henry and Aaron Hickey. Mbeumo and Wissa formed a fine attacking combination and their own places in Brentford's history. Finally, a special mention goes to Thomas Frank for moulding a fine team spirit!

Paul: Lewis-Potter has had the best season. He has grown into the team and I hope he stays. Mbeumo is a fantastic worker and makes a great striker combo with his mate Wissa. But Dams is the man, just like Eriksen used to make the play. Damsgaard is my pick.

Following their 5-3 win in the reverse fixture, Brentford are looking to complete their first league double over Wolves since the 2015-16 Championship campaign.

Wolves have lost their final league match in each of the past seven seasons by an aggregate score of 19-2. They have also lost their final game in nine of their 10 Premier League campaigns, with the exception being a 2-1 win over Sunderland in 2009-10.

Brentford have scored 65 goals in the Premier League this season, their most in a top-flight campaign since 1937-38 (69 goals). Their conversion rate in 2024-25 is 15.2%, the best of any side.

Brentford boss Thomas Frank has been speaking to the media before Sunday's final Premier League game away against Wolves (16:00 BST).

Here are the key lines from his news conference:

• Frank confirmed Aaron Hickey will be in the matchday squad for the first time since October 2023 with the Scotland international suffering several setbacks in his recovery from a long-term hamstring problem: "I'm very pleased for him. He's worked very hard and this is a little bonus before he goes into the summer."

• Ben Mee will not feature after playing his final game for the club last weekend: "We had a nice send-off after the Fulham game and said a few nice words to him in general for what he has contributed. The last three years have been a pleasure and I wish him and his family all the best."

• Midfielder Vitaly Janelt will not feature on Sunday after undergoing surgery to address an issue in his heel.

• Frank conceded the club "will have to listen" if offers arrive for Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa this summer: "We have a contract with them. So I think we can control that ourselves if we wanted to. As I said before, we are a selling club. So if teams are coming in, or clubs are coming in with the right amount, we have to listen to it. Then we have a decision to make. But right now they're Brentford players, and they're playing on Sunday."

• On the outside chance of qualifying for the Conference League if the Bees finish above Brighton on Sunday and Chelsea both finish seventh and win the Conference League: "We spoke briefly about it [European football] on Tuesday. Six weeks ago, we said we wanted to finish as high as possible; that was the thing that we could control ourselves, then we still needed to have help from other teams and other results."

• Frank stressed the importance of a win regardless: "We need to do what we can to win on Sunday. If we win and finish ninth, it will be the t-best finish in the Premier League. Top 10 is a remarkable result for us in the Premier League. We'll do what we can to finish the season with a win and then we'll see what will happen."

• On the challenge posed by Wolves: "It's going to be another difficult game, they're playing at home and want to finish off the season well. Vitor Pereira has done a top job there, there's no doubt about that. I like the way they are set up, they are very structured and difficult to break down."

With just one game left to play of the Premier League season, Brighton and Brentford retain hope of playing in Europe next season.

As things stand, at least nine English teams will feature in European competition, but certain results could make it 10. As it stands, the club finishing eighth have a chance of qualifying for the Conference League.

For this to happen, Chelsea must win this season's Conference League final against Real Betis on Wednesday.

If this does happen, then one of two scenarios would open up a Conference league spot for either Brighton or Brentford. The scenarios are:

• Chelsea finish seventh, OR

• Chelsea finish sixth AND Newcastle come seventh (this outcome would require a fairly unlikely combination of results, such as Newcastle losing 4-0 and Chelsea losing 1-0).

In summary, the best hope for teams chasing eighth is that Chelsea lose at Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa avoid defeat at Manchester United. Their fate would then depend on whether Chelsea beat Real Betis in Wednesday's Conference League final

Brighton face new Europa League champions Tottenham away from home on Sunday, knowing that they only need a draw to guarantee eighth spot.

But Brentford, who travel to Wolves, have a stronger goal difference. So, if Brighton lose and Brentford win, the Bees would sneak into eighth and potentially a European spot.

Brentford have announced Spanish sports clothing and shoe brand Joma as their new kit partner in a multi-year deal beginning in July.

The club say next season's offer will include a home shirt celebrating 100 years of the Bees wearing red and white stripes.

The new range will be made from recycled polyester and other ecological fabrics which the club say is to reduce environmental impact.

From the 2025-26 season, Brentford will be the only Premier League club to wear a kit manufactured by Joma.

Bryan Mbeumo

Bryan has had the best of his six seasons at Brentford. Ever-present, he has scored 19 goals and had eight assists and formed a telepathic partnership with close friend Yoane Wissa. Still only 25, highly coveted and with a magical left foot, sadly he may move on over the summer.

Mikkel Damsgaard

Mikkel has been a revelation this season and finally shown the superb form he displayed for Denmark in Euro 2020. His eye for spotting a and playing it is exceptional and only Mohamed Salah, Jacob Murphy and Anthony Elanga have more than his 10 assists in the Premier League this season.

Keane Lewis-Potter

Like Damsgaard, Keane is another who is finally fulfilling his potential at Brentford. A natural winger, he has had to play at left-back this season in Rico Henry's absence and has grown into the role. His defending has improved vastly as the season has progressed, without dulling his attacking instincts.

Yoane Wissa

Yoane has again proved what we all knew - he is a good natural finisher. He has revelled in being the main man up front - scoring 18 times - and rarely misses a decent chance. Scores both spectacular and simpler goals, plays with joy and his partnership with Mbeumo is wonderful.

Wolves have nothing but pride to play for this season as they sit 14th in the table and Vitor Pereira showed he had one eye on 2025-26 as he made five changes for this game.

To their credit, they did not play like a team whose mind might be on their summer holidays and instead pushed Palace hard for their win as Jorgen Strand Larsen's second-half header gave them something to fight for, until Eberechi Eze's introduction made the win save for the hosts.

Six successive wins pulled Wolves well clear of danger earlier this year but this was a third consecutive loss. and they will be determined to not let the season finish with a losing run when they host Brentford at the weekend.

What a disappointing weekend that was to be a Brentford fan.

First of all, we had to not the underdog in the FA Cup final, because of the way a Crystal Palace victory would affect our European chances, and then we lost at home to rivals Fulham.

I should say that I am genuinely pleased for a couple of Palace friends that they won the cup - despite the impact for the Bees.

Despite all that, Brentford go into the season's final weekend with our European qualification hopes still alive - just.

To make it, we need to finish eighth and then hope that Chelsea both win the Conference League and also finish outside the top five.

Whether or not we do it, what an achievement it would be if we could finish in the top half of the Premier League for the second time in four seasons.

It has been another great campaign, filled with some cracking football, exciting matches and plenty of goals. For both Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa to score 19 is some feat.

It is also great to be going into Sunday's final match with something to play for.

Finally, a quick word about Ben Mee, who will be leaving us in the summer.

He was superb in his first season with us in 2022-23 - when he only missed one Premier League game - helping us to finish ninth. He was also voted ers' player of the year.

But he has been used sparingly in the past two years, so, as he is out of contract, he deserves to go somewhere where he will play regularly again - and I am sure he will have plenty of offers.

Nicholas: A strange game really. We were well on top in the first half and it should have been a more comfortable scoreline at half-time. But Fulham's substitutes made the difference and it is beyond annoying that they have done the double over us. Still, it's been a fantastic season and there is plenty to be optimistic about heading into next year.

Paul: While it's been a good season, points dropped from winning positions cost us, and you have to say some of Thomas Frank's substitutions over the course of the campaign have been very strange.

Fulham fans

James: Unbelievable performance! We completely deserved the three points after two great headers from Jimenez and Tom Cairney, and Harry Wilson finished it off with a wonderful strike. Also what a penalty save from Leno!

Terry: Great to see us really commit to every challenge, really commit to the win. It had to be Harry! He's a wizard, don't you know?

Will: What a beautiful win. Seemed as if all desire was gone from this team but they really showed up for this one. We wouldn't have got Europe anyway with the FA Cup result, so this is definitely a good end to the season.
